Webinar - January 30

Elevating Sudanese Voices in the International Community

Join us Tuesday January 30 for an interactive discussion about how activist-led research can fill critical gaps and improve international discourse and decisions affecting Sudan. The webinar will take place on Zoom at 12:00pm ET (17:00 GMT, 19:00 CAT) on Tuesday January 30, 2024.

The discussion will draw upon recent research papers commissioned by AMEL from Sudanese civil society leaders Reem Abbas and Hamid Khalafallah:

  • "War on Women in Sudan: Sharing Experiences of Displacement, Violence, and Personal Struggles" by Reem Abbas, who delves into the profound impact of the War on Women in Sudan, shedding light on the often-overlooked experiences of displacement, violence, and personal struggles faced by women in the region. Her work is not only informative but also serves as a call to action to address the urgent needs of the affected communities. Read more
